biography

  • Arjuna Madanayake is as Associate Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering at FIU. He completed the Ph.D. (2008) in Electrical Engineering and MSc. (2004) also in Electrical Engineering at the University of Calgary, Canada, and B.Sc. (2002) in Electronic and Telecommunication Engineering from University of Moratuwa, Sri Lanka. He leads the RF, Analog and Digital (RAND) Lab for Advanced Signal Processing Circuits at FIU.

research interests

  • One- and Multi-dimensional signal processing, circuits and systems, analog and digital electronics, integrated circuits, RF systems and microwave systems, array processors, phased-arrays, multi-antenna and MIMO systems, 5G/6G mm-wave systems, FPGA design, fast algorithms and VLSI for DSP, computer arithmetic, analog computing, digital VLSI, computer architecture, parallel processors, spectrum and RF interference mitigation, AI accelerators for RF-machine learning systems, blockchain applications for 6G, radio astronomy instrumentation, ultrasonic imaging, and DSP for photonics.
