Tiberio Garza, PhD is an Assistant Professor of Research Methodology in the Department of Counseling, Recreation and School Psychology at Florida International University. He is nationally recognized for evaluation awards from the American Evaluation Association (Minority Serving Institution Fellowship) and the Annie E. Casey Foundation (Leaders in Equitable Evaluation and Diversity - LEEAD). He has a background in educational psychology with an emphasis in psychometrics, statistics, and program evaluation. Dr. Garza has over 8 years of evaluation experience and has served as evaluator for over 27 grants across federal, state, and local entities. He is passionate about utilizing evaluation and statistical approaches in uncovering ways for helping young people, regardless of language and culture barriers, become resilient and succeed in their life and educational pursuits.
