  • Sigal Segev (Ph.D., University of Leicester) is an associate professor of advertising at the School of Communication at Florida International University (FIU). Her research focuses on green advertising, social media advertising, multicultural advertising, and consumer behavior. Dr. Segev’s work has been published in leading advertising, marketing, and consumer behavior journals, including the International Journal of Advertising, Journal of Advertising, Journal of Consumer Behaviour, the European Journal of Marketing, and Computers in Human Behaviours, among others. Dr. Segev is dedicated to teaching undergraduate and graduate courses, including Research Methods in Communication, Research Methods Seminar, Global Communication, and Strategic Communication Theories. As a leading voice in the American Academy of Advertising (AAA), Dr. Segev has held prominent roles, including Chair of the Research Committee, AAA’s Vice President, and AAA’s President-Elect, and she currently serves as AAA’s President. Sigal also devotes much time and effort to her service work for the School of Communication and the College of Communication, Architecture + the Arts, serving on numerous committees.
