- Dr. Liuzziâs postdoctoral studies at the University of Florida focused on the characterization of the transmembrane zinc/iron/manganese transporter Slc39a14. Identifying novel roles of zinc and zinc transporters in the regulation of autophagy has been the highlight of Dr. Liuzziâs research at Florida International University.
