biography
- Dr. Liuzzi’s postdoctoral studies at the University of Florida focused on the characterization of the transmembrane zinc/iron/manganese transporter Slc39a14. Identifying novel roles of zinc and zinc transporters in the regulation of autophagy has been the highlight of Dr. Liuzzi’s research at Florida International University.
