biography

  • Wensong Wu is an Associate Professor in Mathematics and Statistics. Wu received BS in Computational Mathematics at Nanjing University, China in 2004, MS in Mathematics at University of South Carolina in 2007. In 2011 she received her PhD in Statistics at the University of South Carolina with Dr. Edsel Pena as her dissertation advisor. She joined the Division of Statistics, Department of Mathematics and Statistics at Florida International University as an assistant professor in 2011.

research interests

  • Bayesian methodologies in multiple hypothesis testing and classification, model selection and model averaging for high-dimensional data, and statistical learning theory and applications.
