biography

  • Dr. Lynne Richard is an Associate Professor and Interim Associate Dean of Academic Affairs in the Nicole Wertheim College of Nursing and Health Sciences.

    She is a licensed Occupational Therapist in the state of Florida and New Jersey.

    Dr. Richard has a clinical-rich background and expertise in providing occupational therapy services to adults with physical and cognitive disabilities, especially adults with a stroke, across the spectrum of healthcare service delivery.

    Her research has been collaborative and community-based focusing on stroke outcomes, Parkinson’s Disease, individuals with low vision, and client-centered practices.

    She has been published in numerous articles including the Journal of Trauma & Treatment, Occupational Therapy in Mental Health, and in the International Handbook of Occupational Therapy Interventions.

    Dr. Richard has a long history of mentoring OT graduate students, working with them on joint publications and presentations, developing data collection tools, analyzing data and presenting their findings for the dissemination of knowledge and outcomes.

    Dr. Richard received her Bachelor of Occupational Therapy from the University of Kansas, Her Master of Counseling and Special Services from Seton Hall University, and her PhD in Educational Psychology from Rutgers, The State University of NJ.
