biography

  • Dr. Arun Kumaraswamy’s research spans the fields of Strategy, Entrepreneurship, and International Business. Specifically, he studies the management of innovation and growth, and technology catchup by firms in emerging economies.

    Arun has co-authored articles in reputable Management/Strategy, IB and MIS journals, and has co-edited the book Managing in the Modular Age: Architectures, Networks and Organizations. He was a guest editor of the Journal of World Business Special Issue on Institutions, entrepreneurship and co-evolution in International Business (2016), and the Journal of Management Studies Special Issue on Managing in the age of disruptions (2018). He serves on the Editorial Review Boards of the Journal of International Business Studies, Journal of International Management and Journal of World Business.

    Before joining FIU in Fall 2016, Arun had taught at Rutgers University (Camden), Singapore Management University, Temple University, and West Chester University of PA.
