  • Jami Furr, PhD, Associate Clinical Director of the Center for Children and Families, has clinical expertise and research interests in cognitive-behavioral treatment of childhood anxiety and disruptive behavior disorders, with a focus on preschool mental health. Specifically, she specializes in weekly and intensive treatment programs for preschool aged children with selective mutism, and obsessive compulsive disorder and other anxiety disorders, as well as in parent-child interaction therapy for young children with disruptive behavior disorders.
  • Jami Furr, PhD, Clinical Associate Professor and Senior Psychologist of the Mental Health Interventions and Novel Therapeutics (MINT) Program of the FIU Center for Children and Families, has clinical expertise and research interests in cognitive-behavioral treatment of childhood anxiety, selective mutism, and disruptive behavior disorders, disaster mental health prevention and training, and a focus on preschool mental health. Specifically, she serves as a Trainer for the Network for Enhancing Wellness in Disaster-Affected Youth (NEW DAY), a SAMHSA funded project providing trainings to support youth and families after disasters. Dr. Furr specializes in weekly and intensive treatment programs for children with selective mutism, obsessive compulsive disorder, and other anxiety disorders, as well as in parent-child interaction therapy for young children with disruptive behavior disorders.
