biography

  • Mr. Fang Shu is an Assistant Teaching Professor at Florida International University. He teaches accounting courses (e.g. HFT 2401, HFT 4474) at the Chaplin School of Hospitality & Tourism Management and various interdisciplinary courses (e.g. philanthropy, leadership, culture) at the Honors College. Also serving as the Factor Director of FIU Honors China Program, Fang organizes study abroad trips to China.

    Prior to becoming the Assistant Teaching Professor, Mr. Fang Shu was the China Programs Manager. In this role, he oversaw all initiatives that took place in China with insight into cultural knowledge and oversaw the university’s relations with other Academic entities within the China region. He also served as the Vice Chair of the Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce (GMCC) Asia Committee and the Steering Committee Member of the City of North Miami’s Chinatown Initiatives.

    Social responsibility and philanthropy are Mr. Fang Shu's passions. He focuses on corporate social responsibility/philanthropy research in the hospitality and tourism industry. He strives to use his expertise and resources to fix social issues and make the world a better place.

    When Mr. Fang Shu is not teaching, he enjoys playing music instruments as well as training in Brazilian Jiu-jitsu and weightlifting.
