  • Dr. Cunha-Neto is an agronomist-turned-botanist with a broad interest in the evolution of plant form and function. Currently, he leads the Plant Growth Lab at Florida International University, where he explores the diversity and evolution of plant vascular development. A key question in his research is: How do plants grow thick? He examines this question at multiple scales, from genes to entire organisms.
