abstract

  • This paper presents a novel wideband true-time delay (TTD) beamformer operating from 2-12 GHz. The designed TTD circuit incorporates four distinct delay lines with a 40 ps delay step, providing a maximum delay of 190 ps. The TTD lines are uniquely implemented with wideband circular terminations, enabling constant time delay and low insertion loss across a 6:1 bandwidth. As a result, the proposed TTD demonstrates low-loss, wideband time-delay performance, making it a suitable candidate for wideband beamforming applications.
