Jeanette’s Story: Jeanette, a Haitian-American daughter, lovingly cares for her mother Marie, the matriarch of her family. This video highlights how tradition, family bonds, and cultural values shape her caregiving journey and provide strength in the face of dementia. The project was funded through the Erica Wertheim Zohar Community Mental Health Chair Endowment, chaired by Dr. Ellen Leslie Brown, and disseminated through the Nicole Wertheim College of Nursing & Health Sciences at Florida International University in collaboration with the Dementia Care and Cure Initiative (DCCI).
