Abstract:
John’s Story: Meet John, a devoted husband navigating the challenges of being the primary caretaker for his wife Christine, who was diagnosed with Early-Onset Alzheimer’s disease. This video highlights the emotional realities of caregiving, the resilience required, and the importance of love and commitment in the face of dementia. The project was funded through the Erica Wertheim Zohar Community Mental Health Chair Endowment, chaired by Dr. Ellen Leslie Brown, and disseminated through the Nicole Wertheim College of Nursing & Health Sciences at Florida International University in collaboration with the Dementia Care and Cure Initiative (DCCI).
