abstract

  • Complexity of IS development projects is measured using technological and structural dimensions. IS development involves the analyses, design and implementation of applications and systems to support business operations in an organizational context. It is suggested that to improve the performance of the IS development project , key dimensions of project complexity and probable outcomes must be well understood. It is recommended that ISDP managers must also learn to manage the organizational as well as technological aspects of the ISDP. Project cost performance is most affected by structural organization and dynamic organizational complexity.
