abstract

  • We propose tow new methods to stabilize both the frequency and power of a two-longitudinal-mode He-Ne laser by using the frequency dependence of beat-noise power spectral density of the two-mode laser. The frequency and power stability of two methods are analyzed and compared briefly. Our study shows that the theoretical frequency and power stability could be achieved to 4.8 × (10-10 - 10-11) and 1.3 × (10-3 - 10-4), respectively.
