Dr. Xueping (Susan) Liang is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Information Systems and Business Analytics at Florida International University. She earned her Ph.D. in 2019 from the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences and her B.S. in 2013 from Beijing Institute of Technology. Dr. Liang's research focuses on cybersecurity, Blockchain, AI/machine learning, data provenance mechanisms, and privacy protection. Her work is particularly centered on designing distributed consensus models in Blockchain technology, leveraging AI to enhance cyber-resiliency in healthcare and IoT environments, and addressing practical security challenges in cloud computing and smart cities. She has published over 30 conference and journal papers, as well as book chapters, in reputable venues. Notably, one of her papers was recognized as one of the âTop 50 Influential Papers in Blockchainâ at the BlockchainConnect Conference in San Francisco, January 2019. Her research has received funding from the National Science Foundation and the Office of Naval Research.
