Mr. Driesbach serves as Assistant Vice President for Research within the Office of Research and Economic Development and University Graduate School at Florida International University. In this capacity, he spearheads initiatives to enhance the information technology and data infrastructure supporting the university's research and graduate studies communities. Since 2008, his team has collaboratively executed projects across the institution, bringing about transformative changes in operations throughout the research, faculty, and graduate student lifecycles.
In addition to his role at FIU, Mr. Driesbach co-leads the steering committee for the Educause Research Computing and Data (RCD) Community. He has served as a Campus Champion for FIU in the NSF XSEDE/ACCESS program and represents the university technically within the Federal Demonstration Partnership (FDP). Previously, he contributed as a member of an Oracle Product Advisory Group focusing on Grants, Contracts, and Billing.
With a background in private companies like Accenture, IBM, and FedEx Express, Mr. Driesbach brings extensive experience in driving transformation through technology, project and information management. Currently, he holds the position of Vice President for Education on the board of the South Florida Chapter of the Project Management Institute. Mr. Driesbach earned his Bachelor's degree in Finance and MIS from the University of Delaware and a Master's in International Business from FIU.
