Biayna Bogosian is an Assistant Professor of Architectural Technology at FIU CARTA. Biayna’s academic and professional background extends in the fields of architecture, environmental design, computational design, data science, spatial science, and interactive media design. Biayna’s interdisciplinary research has allowed her to understand innovation in design and technology within a broader environmental context and explore data-driven and citizen-centric approaches to improve the built environment. Biayna is a Ph.D. candidate in the Media Arts and Practice program at the University of Southern California. She holds a M.S. in Advanced Architectural Design from Columbia University and a B.Arch. from Woodbury University. Since 2011, Biayna has taught at several prestigious universities such as, Columbia GSAPP, Cornell AAP, and USC SoA. Biayna is the principal of Somewhere Something that works at the intersection of architecture, urban design and interaction design, with the aim to change the way we perceive and construct our cities.
