Cryptography has decidedly been in the field of research for decades with the motif of enhancing the security of information exchange. This paper exhibits a variation in the implementation of a classical cipher technique, the Playfair cipher. The motive is to make the ciphertext produced less vulnerable to attacks; we have tested the same with a common attack, the brute-force attack. The proposed model is also statistically analyzed for vulnerability against the performance of the classical encryption technique.
