abstract

  • The essential oils of the aerial parts of Argyranthemum adauctum ssp. adauctum, A. adauctum ssp. gracile and A. adauctum ssp. erythrocarpon were analysed by GC-MS. The major constituents were: for A. adauctum ssp. adauctum, caryophyllene oxide (12.4%), epi-α-bisabolol (6.2%); for A. adauctum ssp. gracile, santolina triene (19.8%), chamazulene (7.8%); and for A. adauctum ssp. erythrocarpon, geranyl isovalerate (44.6%) and geranyl caproate (8.5%).
