The construction industry is experiencing a significant transformation with the growing adoption of artificial intelligence (AI), improving productivity, safety, and efficiency. Despite these advancements, construction management (CM) education has largely remained focused on traditional topics, leaving graduates underprepared for technology-driven practice. This study investigates CM students' awareness of AI technologies and their perceptions of integrating AI into curricula. Using a survey of undergraduate and graduate students at Florida International University, the research identifies knowledge gaps, assesses the perceived importance of AI for professional success, and explores preferred instructional methods. Findings reveal strong student support for including AI-focused content in CM programs and highlight the need for hands-on, project-based learning approaches. The study advocates for updating CM curricula to align education with industry trends, equipping future professionals with the competencies necessary to thrive in an AI-enhanced construction environment, and providing guidance for educators and stakeholders seeking a prepared workforce. Future studies could extend this research by including construction practitioners with varying levels of industry experience to capture broader perspectives on AI integration in construction management.
