  • In the context of next-generation wireless communication systems, including 5G/6G networks and satellite communications, ultra-wideband (UWB) antenna arrays have attracted considerable attention. By supporting broadband operation, UWB arrays present more efficient alternative to multifunctionality while concurrent achieving significant reductions in size, weight, cost, and power consumption. Concurrently, robust performance is maintained across broad frequency bands. Notably, spaceborne communication systems require conformal, low-profile arrays, also capable of wideband operation. However, the deployment of conventional antenna arrays is constrained by spatial limitations associated due to payload restrictions. Therefore, antenna arrays intended for space missions must be designed to be reconfigurable and deployable while operating with high gain to support high data rate communication.
