A novel fully fed sparse ultra-wideband (UWB) array, based on the dual-polarized fully-planar inverted-L element (DP-FILE), is presented. Our DP-FILE is used as the array unit cell (UC), providing UWB performance from 34 GHz to 94 GHz. To feed our array, we strategically design a corporate network whose main building block is an UWB T-junction power divider in stripline technology. Notably, using our corporate network, we successfully excite 66.7% of one polarization in the dual-polarized elements of a 12 × 16-element aperture array, specifically activating an 8×16-element single-polarized subarray. Our proposed fully fed sparse FILE array is evaluated for broadside beamforming, demonstrating high total efficiency (i.e., better than -1.5 dB on average) inside the entire 34 GHz to 94 GHz frequency range.
