The introduction consists of three parts. First, it traces the evolution of this volume, explains the concept of crisis, and clarifies the focus on the three dimensions of crisis: (1) Ecological devastation and economic exploitation, (2) political authoritarianism and violence, and (3) the denial of reproductive justice and bodily autonomy. The second section discusses the concept of transnational feminism, which serves as the volume's foundation and reflects on the collective situatedness of its contributors, both in terms of socio-geographic location and manifestation of scholar-activism. The third part gives an overview of the volume's twelve chapters along the three thematic clusters.
