abstract

  • PAWS is an AI-powered virtual patient simulation tool co-developed to enhance the Community Nursing curriculum. The platform models therapeutic communication during simulated household visits with lifelike patient agents, allowing students to practice empathy, cultural competence, and decision-making in a safe virtual environment. PAWS supports interprofessional collaboration and helps prepare nursing students to address social determinants of health in community settings.
