abstract

  • As a unique structural characterization technique, anomalous small-angle X-ray scattering (ASAXS) is invaluable for highlighting the nanoscale structural information provided by resonantly scattered atoms. In this paper, the theory and advantages of ASAXS are first introduced. Then, the development of common methods for ASAXS data analysis is summarized, including the Stuhrmann method, the subtraction method, and the direct modeling method. Next, the main applications of the ASAXS technique in low-Z materials, nanocomposites, polyelectrolytes, polymer micelles, glass, and metal catalysts are reviewed. Finally, the limitations and future directions of the ASAXS method are briefly discussed. This paper summarizes the latest advancements in ASAXS, facilitating a deeper understanding and broader applications of the ASAXS technique. (Figure presented.)
