abstract

  • In this work, a new approach for generating lowfidelity models for multi-fidelity surrogate optimization methods is examined. Specifically, numerical eigenfunction expansions are used to characterize the solution domain of arbitrarily shaped patch antennas. These numerical eigenfunction expansions are based on analytical eigenfunction expansions. Our results show that the proposed expansions exhibits rapid convergence to errors on the order of 10-2when compared with full-wave simulation results.
