In full-duplex systems, both the transmitter and receiver operate simultaneously at the same frequency band. Hence, simultaneous transmit and receive systems (STAR) are spectrally efficient. However, self-interference (SI) is a major challenge for STAR implementation, especially across large wide bandwidth. In this work, a self-interference cancellation circuit (SICC) with low profile and 1 GHz SI suppression is presented. The SICC consists of a complex multi-tap T shaped finite impulse response (FIR) that allows for wideband coupling suppression of 26 dB across 1 GHz of operational bandwidth.
