abstract

  • Parameter optimization is an important aspect for achieving highest accurate results. This paper investigates different parameters of the one dimensional Log-Gabor filter approach to produce optimal recognition rates. ROC curves are adopted to measure the recognition accuracy. More than 20 million matches have been performed in our experiment. Our experimental results show that optimal wavelength is linear change with the normalized length in angular direction in the polar coordinates. This paper also finds the optimal phase number for pattern encoding, and the optimal radial length. © 2007 SPIE-IS&T.
