abstract

  • Various designs of multilayered periodic surfaces capable of enhancing the performance of broadband reconfigurable arrays was examined. A hybrid finite element-boundary integral method along with Floquet theory was employed for analysis and design. Results showed that the frequency selective surface along with resistive loading provided more than a 2:1 impedance bandwidth for the slots over this band. The impedance was found to be constant over the entire 3-6 GHz high-band.
