abstract

  • A generalization of adaptive integral method (AIM) was presented for multilayer scatterers. A methodology for treating junctions between different materials was also provided. A dielectric sphere fictitiously subdivided into slices was considered for the purpose of validating the multilayering and junction approach. All the slices were found to produce an identical radar-cross-section (RCS) result, validating the junction formulation and the AIM implementation.
