abstract

  • The multilevel fast multipole method (MLFMM) solution of a volume integral equations was discussed. The MLFMM was used to reduce the complexity of the matrix vector product and the memory requirements. The convergence of iterative solution of the MLFMM-Volume integral equation (VIE) algorithm was superior to that of the finite element-boundary integral (FE-BI) method.
