abstract

  • Numerical predictions of the coupling of energy from a simulated PED within a scaled airliner cabin to an antenna mounted on the top of the fuselage were made using FDTD. An excellent level of agreement between the predictions and measurements were achieved up to frequencies consistent with the FDTD cell size. However, the FDTD predictions even up to 11.0 GHz were sufficiently accurate for engineering purposes.
