abstract

  • This paper describes the development of the phonological system of English by a child over a four-month period during which the child was attending weekly speech therapy sessions. The factors which promoted and facilitated progressive phonological changes are discussed. Suggestions are made as to how the observations recorded in this case study can contribute to the development of explicitly principled decision-making in the devising of treatment rationales. © 1988, Sage Publications.
