  • Dr. Chanadra Young Whiting is a Clinical Associate Professor and the Undergraduate Chair of Health Sercives Administration of the Nircole Wertheim College of Nursing and Health Sciences.

    Dr. Whiting bring years of experience and expertise to FIU, where she has over 15 years of experience in teaching HSA since 2007 both online and fully in-person.

    She has conducted research studies at both a private institution (Barry University; Public Health and HSA: Nova Southeastern University; Healthcare education) and state institution (Florida A&M University; Florida Atlantic University; Medical Technology) which encompass HSA ethics and culture, healthcare finance, leadership in healthcare, and healthcare policy.

    Dr. Whiting is an advocate of healthcare diversity, therefore, is fluent in multiple languages and prides herself in the ability to work with international cultures.

    During her time at FIU, Dr. Whiting has combines health services administration with politics, business, and science while managing the human and fiscal resources needed to deliver effective health services.

    Her expertise continues to be in high demand as healthcare reform continued to transform the ways in which hospitals, clinics, insurance companies, and universities care for patients.

    Dr. Whiting earned her Doctor of Education with concentration in Healthcare Education & Curriculum Development from Nova Southeastern University. A double Bachelor of Science in Biology and medical Technology from Florida A7M University and Florida Atlantic University, respectively. And in 2006, her Master of Public Health from Barry University.
