biography

  • Dr. Tina Yeung is a Clinical Assistant Professor for the department of Health Services Administration of the Nicole Wertheim College of Nursing and Health Sciences. Dr. Yeung's expertise includes teaching, student mentorship, academic advisement, recruitment and retention, admissions and program support in higher education.

    Her passion is to teach and conduct social science research in health policy, health disparities, health information technology, and other health-related topics. Over the years, Dr. Yeung has been a consistent advocate for customers in providing excellent customer service support in the resolution of issues. Her project management experience utilizes metrics to drive decision making for best practices including quantitative and qualitative research methodology and research study processes.

    Dr. Yeung holds a Masters degree in Health Services Administration and a Ph.D. in Public Affairs with a concentration in Health Services Research and Administration from the University of Central Florida. Currently, Dr. Yeung is the Faculty Advisor to the Healthcare Executive Student Organization (HESO).

    Dr. Yeung has authored and co-authored book chapters in health services management and manuscripts in health information technology and population health. She is also a member of national organizations, including Academy Health, American College of Healthcare Executives (ACHE), and American Public Health Association (APHA).
