Dr. Thompson is author of the books, "Time in Natural Language: Syntactic Interfaces with Semantics and Discourse", and âAn Introduction to the Study of Languageâ. Her research publications include thirty peer-reviewed articles in journals such as Linguistic Inquiry and Natural Language and Linguistic Theory. In her current research, she investigates the attitudes of multilingual university students toward African-American English Vernacular.
