Prior to joining FIU full time in the fall of 2010, Melbourne spent almost 30 years in the property and casualty insurance industry, primarily engaged in loss control consulting. He was an adjunct instructor in FIU’s Department of Management and International Business since 1998. He was a three-time recipient of the Professional BBA program’s Excellence in Teaching award.
