Prior to joining FIU full time in the fall of 2010, Melbourne spent almost 30 years in the property and casualty insurance industry, primarily engaged in loss control consulting. He was an adjunct instructor in FIUâs Department of Management and International Business since 1998. He was a three-time recipient of the Professional BBA programâs Excellence in Teaching award.
