Christopher M. Jimenez is an Associate Librarian at Florida International University in the Information & Research Services Department. He specializes in Web Services, with research interests that encompass Web Design, Information Literacy, and the application of Emerging Technologies in libraries. His recent scholarship explores ways to situate Artificial Intelligence within the research process using the ACRL Frameworks for Information Literacy.
Christopher is also deeply committed to academic and intellectual freedom. He has served as chair of both the the FIU Libraries’ Academic and Intellectual Freedom Committee and the Florida Library Association’s Intellectual Freedom Committee. Through his dual focus on emerging technologies and academic freedom, Christopher aims to enhance the role of libraries in supporting both innovative research and free exchange of ideas.
