    Suzanne, recognized as a voice for real estate, property rights, investment in the United States and financial empowerment, is frequently quoted in national and international media including The Wall St. Journal Money Watch, YahooFinance!, The Miami Herald, El Nuevo Herald, Biz News, The Real Deal and Mercado de Dinero USA.

    FIU is one of the 10 largest public universities in the United States with 54,000 students, ranked #1 for Real Estate Research in the U.S., #5 in International Business Programs and has the largest percentage of Hispanic students in the U.S.

    At FIU, Suzanne has three professional roles: (1) Clinical Instructor, teaching graduate business students earning a Masters of Science in International Real Estate & undergraduate business students; (2) Industry Liaison to the Real Estate Community, building and maintaining strong linkages between FIU, students, private sector real estate and construction industry and government through leading high-profile public seminars, panels and events; and (3) Faculty Industry Expert-EMBA Consortium for Global Business Innovation, connecting international Consortium students to the real estate industry through leading private industry visits to luxury real estate developers.

    Nationally and internationally, Suzanne provides seminars on real estate, business and leadership and participates in meetings with major companies with large real estate holdings.

    Internationally, in 2017, Suzanne was a Visiting Scholar teaching a course on Investment in U.S. Real Estate at Universidad EAFIT in Medellin, Colombia. Also in 2017, the Center for International Business Education and Research (“CIBER”) awarded Suzanne funds to participate as a delegate in business meetings with leading companies in Peru and Columbia. In 2016, Suzanne participated in real estate business meetings in Peru and Ecuador. In 2015, Suzanne was a member of the largest delegation of U.S. attorneys to visit Cuba in over 50 years, where she investigated property rights. In 2013, CIBER awarded Suzanne funds to participate as a delegate in business meetings with leading companies in Chile, Argentina and Brazil.

    Nationally, Suzanne authors the blog Professor Real Estate® www.professorrealestate.com, providing real estate education to the nation. In Washington, D.C., Suzanne has been the Leadership Speaker for the Hispanic National Bar Foundation Annual Law week. At New York University’s Schack Institute of Real Estate, Suzanne taught Commercial Contract to Closing and Commercial Leasing.

    Suzanne works with investors in U.S. Real Estate, both domestic and foreign on the purchase, sale and management of real estate and exercise of property rights and speaks frequently on the exercise of property rights to audiences around the world.

    Previously, Suzanne was Corporate Counsel and Project Manager for a developer building large scale projects in Downtown Miami and began her career as an attorney in large national law firms.

    Suzanne is the Vice Chair of the City of Miami Beach Affordable Housing Advisory Board, appointed to the Board by the City of Miami Beach Mayor and City Commission. Suzanne is a Committee Co-Chair with Commercial Real Estate Women Miami.

    Suzanne is recognized publically for her excellence in real estate teaching and mentoring, winning the 2016 and 2015 Best Course of the Year – Masters in International Real Estate Award, 2014 Finalist AXA Business Woman of the Year, Entrepreneur Category, 2014 Winner – Miami Dade Chamber of Commerce’s Thelma Gibson Award – Entrepreneur Category, 2013 Winner – Mentor of the Year- Commercial Real Estate Women, 2012 Winner, New Member of the Year, Commercial Real Estate Women.

    Suzanne graduated cum laude from Dartmouth College and magna cum laude from the University of Miami School of Law, where she was awarded the Soia Mentschikoff Scholarship, a full tuition academic scholarship. Suzanne speaks English and Spanish.
