biography

  • Ming regularly teaches first-year writing courses, Advanced Writing and Research, and Writing across Border. She has presented her work in national and international conferences, such as Conference on College Composition and Communication (CCCC), Annual Conventions of Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL), American Association of Applied Linguistics (AAAL), and International Writing across Curriculum (IWAC). She is one of the initial group of faculty who integrate collaborative online international learning (COIL) in her courses and she has partnered with faculty in China and Columbia. She is also a hybrid fellow faculty in the Provost’s Hybrid Training program.

research interests

  • Dr. Ming Fang is currently an Associate Teaching Professor in the English department and the Associate Director for Writing across Curriculum program at Florida International University. She earned her M.Ed in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages from Boston University, and her Ph.D. in Foreign, Second and Multilingual Education from the Ohio State University. Her research interests include second language writing, multilingual writing pedagogy, transnational writing program administration, global rhetorics, and writing across curriculum.
