  • Dr. Lukas K. Danner is Fulbright-NSF Arctic Research Scholar at the Centre for Arctic Studies, Institute of International Affairs, University of Iceland, Faculty Administrator/Associate Director, FIU Global, Office of Regional and World Locations, and Research Associate at the EU-Jean Monnet Center of Excellence, Florida International University. He is also Research Fellow at the East Asia Security Centre, Bond University, Australia, North Pacific Arctic Fellow at the East-West Center, Honolulu, Hawaiʻi, as well as Fellow at the North American and Arctic Defense and Security Network.

    Dr. Danner is the author of China’s Grand Strategy (2018) and co-editor of New Challenges and Opportunities in European-Asian Relations (2021; with Bibek Chand). He has been supported by the European Commission, the U.S. Department of Education, the Ministry of Education, Culture, and Science of Iceland, the Ministry of Education of Norway, the East-West Center, the Institute for Humane Studies, the Fulbright U.S. Scholar Program, and the National Science Foundation.
