Lynne Barrett is the author of three books of short stories, Magpies (Gold Medal, Florida Book Awards), The Secret Names of Women, and The Land of Go, the editor of Making Good Time: True Stories of How We Do, and Don’t, Get Around in South Florida and Tigertail: Florida Flash, and co-editor of Birth: A Literary Companion and The James M. Cain Cookbook. Her awards include the Edgar Award for best mystery story, a Florida Individual Artist Fellowship in Fiction, and a National Endowment for the Arts Fellowship. She founded Gulf Stream Magazine, and edits The Florida Book Review.
