  • Dr. Latisha Barfield, ARNP, CNM, MSN, DNP is a Clinical Associate Professor for Undergraduate Nursing at the Nicole Wertheim College of Nursing and Health Sciences.

    She is a renown nurse practitioner with years of experience in obstetrics and gynecology across Florida, Missouri, and New York. Her expertise on prenatal care and childbirth care has been featured in multiple media outlets including the New York Times.

    Dr. Barfield is Certified Midwife and an active member of Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing where her clinical and academic research includes HPV care and prevention, antepartum and postpartum care, labor and delivery, newborn and infant care, breastfeeding, and women's health.

    Dr. Barfield obtained her Bachelor of Nursing and Master of Science in Nursing from the State University of New York at Binghamton and her Doctorate of Nursing Practice from Maryville University in St. Louis, MO.
