A further verification is discussed of the three-dimensional finite element formulation (3DFE), presented earlier by this author, in the presence of three components of excitation current densities. The verification was done by obtaining finite difference expressions for the curl of the magnetic field intensity, H, and comparing it with the corresponding excitation current density, J, for a given application. The theoretical and numerical results are in excellent agreement. The verification shows that the numerical solution for three-dimensional magnetostatic field problems satisfies Maxwell's equations which are the basis of the formulation.
