abstract

  • The numerical solution of the Helmholtz complex wave equation using the finite-element method is used to model thick-film striplines and compute their characteristic parameters. The method is implemented on two examples of thick-film stripline geometries and is shown to be efficient in modeling the different geometries considered. In comparison measured and numerically computed stripline parameters are shown to be in excellent agreement.
