abstract
We propose and demonstrate a novel label-free imaging method of live cells using photonic crystal nanolaser array. We fabricated the device, attached HeLa cells, and measured the wavelength of each nanolaser as a pixel information. By continuously mapping all pixels, we acquired images displaying the cell behaviors. Reagent was injected to stimulate the cells, and the images were acquired until the cell reaction was saturated. The result shows reasonable behaviors for the reagent, and indicated that this imaging method worked as we intended. Copyright © (2011) by the Chemical and Biological Microsystems Society.
