abstract
Stridor is a relatively common respiratory symptom in neonates, infants and children and is due to airway obstruction. Stridor may be acute or chronic and is due to a variety of clinical conditions. Children with stridor may present with mild to severe respiratory distress requiring expectant management, to emergent airway stabilization. This review describes the common causes of stridor in neonates, infants, and children and their management. Copyright © 2006 Miami Children's Hospital.
