abstract

  • A long-term corrosion monitoring system for steel in concrete was implemented for a bored tunnel. Tunnel panel extrados surfaces have susceptibility to moisture ingress and elevated corrosion conditions. Tunnel panel joints may have aggravated conditions, but corrosion has not manifested. Concrete cracks and moisture intrusion may provide aggravated corrosion conditions.
