abstract

  • This study examines the interaction processes of dust acoustic waves (DAWs) and the formation of DAW solitons as well as the effects of general (r, q) distribution on the phase shifts following head-on collision of DAWs. A collisionless, un-magnetized six-component plasma composed of negatively and positively charged dust particles, negatively and positively charged ions, electrons, and positrons is taken into account in this process. The typical (r, q) distribution is followed by electrons, positrons, and positive ions. The two-sided Korteweg–de Vries (KdV) equations and phase shifts are derived employing the PoincarĂ©-Lighthill-Kuo (ePLK) method. The consequence of spectral indices r and q on the phase shifts after head-on collision of DAWs and the production of DAWs solitons are investigated in detail. The obtained results of this study will be useful to understand the basic features of DAW solitons in multi-component un-magnetized collisionless plasmas where the consequence of general (r, q) distribution of electrons, positrons, and ions are articulate in space and astrophysical environment.
